Meeting Place & Time: Subject to any current Covid requirements, and unless alternative arrangements are detailed in the Event, walkers are encouraged to use a Car Pool.
This is to help with limited parking at some pubs.
We operate a Car Pool from the corner opposite Homebase at Waterside Park to leave at 9.30am prompt.
Examples of walks we have recently done can be seen by clicking on the Link Recent Past Walks.

During the walk we are encouraged to take photographs for the u3a Facebook and Website pages. Anyone who wishes not to have their photo taken for this purpose please inform the Walk Leader before the start. Also, there is usually a shout to the group before any photo is taken so there is opportunity to turn away.
- Dogs under your personal control are welcome.
Volunteers are often sought to lead some walks at fortnightly intervals each of approximately 5 miles. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Walking Group Leader Ian Jones . Suggestions based on many years' experience of organising walks (& pub lunches!) are available.
Alternatively, you may be interested in the Hiking Group who undertake walks in the region of 7 to 10 miles, or the Strollers Group who walk approximately 2 to 3 miles.
INSURANCE: The insurance of the u3a does not cover personal injury or accident except where there has been proven negligence on the part of the organisation. It is recommended walkers carry a record of any medical or contact details which may be useful in an emergency. Fellow walkers will hopefully try to be good Samaritans but neither they nor u3a can accept responsibility for actions taken or not taken. Full details click on u3a Insurance.
