Have you heard of the U3A Walking Exchange Scheme?

Do you fancy walking holidays, exploring new places or joining up with other local U3As to share walks?

How does it work?

We have over 1000 U3As across the country and almost all have at least one walking group some as many as six.

The scheme works for one off walks, a mini break or a full holiday.

For longer breaks the visiting groups arrange their accommodation.

The U3A host group provides walk leaders to show the visitors the best routes in the area - with the advantage of local knowledge.

Advantages include low cost, using budget hotels which can be cancelled at short notice if needed and local guided walks.

We will hold regular Zoom sessions to provide further information about the scheme.

The more U3As involved, the greater the opportunities.

We now also have a Facebook page U3A Walking and Walking exchange for groups to share information.
