Our members mainly work on individual projects, sketching and painting in a variety of mediums. We share our knowledge and expertise and enjoy supporting each other and trying new subjects and materials. We are very much a ‘self-help’ group who enjoy a pleasantly creative afternoon aided by tea, biscuits and lots of chat.
We meet every Monday afternoon at Elim Church, Ashbourne. Currently there are 8 members and we would be happy to welcome new members to share our creative fun. . There is a small charge each week to cover the hire cost of the room.
If you are interested please make contact with our leader by clicking on the pencil icon next to her name. As the room is fairly small there may need to be a limit of ten members but if more are interested a waiting list could be started.
A New Painting Group
We have had enquiries from u3a members who would like to learn to paint. However, a leader is needed before we can start a new group. If you know of a current or prospective u3a member who could help others to develop a range of painting / drawing skills please do contact us.
