We play year round, and only if it's heaving down with rain do we give it a miss. If we're rained off there's an option to meet at Carsington Visitor Centre for a cuppa and a chat.
We're a very social group and have a lot of fun. No previous experience is necessary; all are welcome. We have members who have been playing for years, some more seriously than others, and others have only just begun.
The 'terrain' (playing area) is outdoors & the surface is grit. A cloth to wipe boules & / or hands is recommended, especially if it's damp.
The pub does not charge a hire fee, & is open from midday. We typically finish at around 12.30 to 1pm for a drink and / or something to eat.
Members of the current Wednesday and Thursday groups are invited to choose which day to play and move between the two groups as they wish.
Please let Sue Hall know if you would like to change days to save possible confusion with numbers as new members may be joining on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
