We sing a variety of music -traditional, folk songs, songs from the shows. Most pieces are in 2 parts, some in unison. Enthusiasm is more important than a high level of musical ability. You don't need to be able to read music as we practise each part separately a few times, then put the parts together. No-one will ever be asked to sing on their own. We have a tea break for about 20 minutes in the middle of the practice, so you get chance to chat and have a breather.
New members are always welcome. The first two meetings after our summer break - Thursdays 11th and 25th September 2025, would be good times for new members to come along as we will be starting a new set of music, but new members will be able to join in at any time, as we usually have a couple of pieces that we are quite competent with, a couple we are part way through learning, and a couple that are either brand new or we have only practised once, so new members would be at the same stage as everyone else on these.
