Linear walk along the High Peak trail from the National Stone Centre Cafe Car Park, Porters Lane, Wirksworth DE4 4DF car park charges apply. The out and back walk is 3 miles in total along the level trail and gives lovely views over Cromford. The group will return to the Stone Centre when the top of the railway incline is reached.
For anyone more adventurous there is the option of branching away from the trail for a circular walk up through the woods to the top of Black Rocks. There is a wide path with some boulders and tree roots. Not for the faint hearted. the reward for the climb is a spectacular view over Cromford and the surrounding area. Refreshments at the National Stone Centre Cafe which closes at 4.00p.m.
Meet at The Range end of Waterside o car share and leave at 1.00p.m. prompt for the Stone Centre cafe car park. Please let Karen know if you wish to join the walk.
