ACCOMMODATION

If you are responsible for selecting a suitable venue, consider & evaluate any risks to members making use of such venue & its accessibility for disabled members (see Disabilities).

In general, the members of the group are expected to share any cost of the accommodation used for the activities of the group. The committee may on occasions make a small amount of funds available towards the cost of accommodation while a group is being established, or in the event of an unforeseen situation occurring.

Do not sign any rental agreement yourself. Pass it to your Groups’ Co-ordinator for the committee to deal with.

The Groups’ Co-ordinator may be able to suggest a suitable venue for any group activity.

When you arrive at the venue, reassure yourself that everything is as it should be. If you have any safety concerns, do not continue if they cannot be resolved to your satisfaction.

Make sure you know the postcode of the venue.
