Meeting and Start Point: 10:00 The Rose & Crown Inn, Buxton Road, Allgreave, SK11 0BJ, Tel: 01260 227232. On the A54 to Buxton, Car park. The journey time can be >45 mins depending on traffic.

Details of the walk: The target distance although it is just under 6 miles is 50:50 meadows and quiet country lanes, with a steady climb on the first half and downwards back.

Route: From Rose & Crown Inn heading SE along country lane past Midgley Farm turning right onto track at Goosetree Farm down to the footbridge over the river Dane. Turn left, onto the road for a little before turning the right footpath heading East past Greensitch. Back onto the road for a little before turning left footpath NE and onto Love Lane. Turning left on Love Lane over the river bridge. Turning right onto the footpath climbing North until we reach a gated road. Crossing the road climbing up past Birchenough Hill heading NE until we cross the A54 heading through the woods and along the lane Westerly to Wildboarclough, Turning left at St Saviour's Church passing the red phone box. Turning left on the Nabbs Road SW towards The Crag Inn. Passing the Crag Inn and turning left over a footbridge to follow the Clough brook and road West before heading SW past Blaze Farm and back South to Allgreave and the Rose & Crown
