We play year round, and only if it's heaving down with rain do we give it a miss. If we're rained off there's an option to meet at Carsington Visitor Centre for a cuppa and a chat.
We're a very social group and have a lot of fun. No previous experience is necessary; all are welcome. We have members who have been playing for years, some more seriously than others, and others have only just begun.
The 'terrain' (playing area) is outdoors & the surface is grit. A cloth to wipe boules & / or hands is recommended, especially if it's damp.
The pub does not charge a hire fee, & is open from midday. We typically finish at around 12.30 to 1pm for a drink and / or something to eat.
When bad weather strikes it's useful to be able to communicate quickly, so we have a WhatsApp group. For those not on WhatsApp, there's an email or text option.
